QuestCom Incorporated was founded in 1992 with an idea: develop a phone board kiosk where patrons could call an advertisement from the board for information, rates or to arrange transportation.
Our first boards were installed at the AMTRAK station and the RAMADA INN in Rochester, New York. Advertisers consisted of restaurants, hotels, shopping centers and businesses that would benefit from being in front of this audience. However, we very quickly discovered that advertising sales was not easy. (Ask us about the taxi cab company that refused free advertising.) Needless to say, the boards didn't do too well.

Our next idea was to modify the kiosk and put it into a retail or shopping mall setting. After a year of negotiations, we finally got approval from the Mall at Greece Ridge Center in Rochester, NY. Finally, the MALL BOARD, as we now know it, went from a simple concept sketch drawing to reality.
October 1994
The Greece Ridge MALL BOARD is first installed near Burlington Coat Factory as a phone board where mall patrons can call an ad, listen to a voice mail promo of the company, print a coupon and talk to the advertiser.
August 1995
The Property Source Online is introduced to the MALL BOARD. Mall patrons dialed a listing's 3-digit MALL BOARD number on the phone, listened to a recorded message about the home and printed info about that particular property.
December 1995
Touch screens are installed, complete with a mall directory featuring stores by name & category. The touch screens also offered a program for mall walkers to track their laps and convert laps to miles.
April 1996
Greece Ridge MALL BOARD is relocated to the other side of the mall in Center Court East. This location proves to be a great move for the MALL BOARD.
July 1996
The phone system is replaced with 2 touch screens complete with mall directories, the mall walkers program, employment classifieds, real estate listings and upcoming movie trailers.
October 1996
The Eastview MALL BOARD is introduced to offer service to a new geographical region of Rochester. The new kiosk is installed in the Bon-Ton Court and outfitted with 2 touch screens, back-lit advertising, and racks for free publications.
July 2000
Touch screens are removed from both Eastview and Greece Ridge MALL BOARDS. The focus of the kiosks has turned to distribution of free publications and back-lit display advertising.
May 2002
The Greece Ridge MALL BOARD is relocated to the Circuit City Wing. This location is just through a main entrance to one of the largest shopping malls east of the Mississippi River.
September 2002
The Eastview MALL BOARD gets a makeover and a new look by SCALE 2 of Rochester, NY. Eastview is one of Wilmorite's premier shopping malls and this new kiosk allows us to showcase our advertisers to their HUGE audience. The new MALL BOARD is larger with more display area and more distribution racks for free publications and periodicals.
December 2007
The Greece Ridge MALL BOARD is relocated to its present location in the Bon Ton Wing.

The MALL BOARDS have stood the test of time by adapting to the everchanging market. This marketing service has become a great resource for free publications, local real estate, mall information & directions, and local business. It's also a great meeting place for friends, family or a group. That's why we say, "Meet me at the MALL BOARD!"
